The Intent

Many years ago, I became a student of Victorian art, furnishings and architecture. I fell in love with their usage of lines and colors, textures and shapes. I was also fascinated by their fearlessness and whimsy, being totally unafraid to combine the artistic motifs of art forms from all over the world. Most of all, I was intrigued by their attention to detail. It truly was the "Gilded Age". Therefore, you will note that a large portion of my models center around all things Victorian.

The models I create are intended for use by 3D image and animation artists with vision. They are, for the most part, built to scale at extremely high resolution. They are very detailed, and consequently, have commensurately high polygon counts and large file sizes. You can use these models in the background but that is not what they are built for. They are intended for renderings that are "up close and personal". Tight shots! Set your camera so close that you can almost smell the wood or feel the brass.

Who knows? Maybe you'll make the next "Stuart Little" style animation and have your small character scampering over an 74,843 polygon fireplace mantel like the W. T. Comstock parlor mantel model available on this site.

Free Models are just that - FREE! They are either low resolution models or retired Pro Models. They are available for direct download from this site.
